We went to Mordialloc beach today for the food and jazz festival. The sun was shining brightly, not a cloud in the immediate sky.It was just a short drive away, and we spent about 4 hours there, just walking around eating and listening to the blues and swing bands.

wisdom has become foolishness, and foolishness wisdom

I think it's wise to Make hay while the sun shines, but some think it's best to "live for the moment".

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Yes, we did have a great time in Hobart. The wedding was beautiful and it was great helping out a bit here and there, and seeing Ben so happy was wonderful. Also it was great seeing some old friends and some familiar places, and finally show Gav where I lived, walked, went to classes, shopped, took the bus from, worked, went to church, etc. etc. It was one big nostalgic trip. After being away 5 yrs, I was glad to see that nothing much had changed about this place. Its water still blue, its air still fresh and clean! Along with all the old were some new realizations of how great some of my old friends are to me. Just marveling at God's beautiful creation also made me think about how we wouldn't be able to appreciate beauty without first experiencing ugliness. Like how every mountain peak has to have a valley in between.

day 2

It's really nice working at the police HQ. Everyone's so nice and friendly and there's even a stove with rangehood in the staff lunchroom. It's the ultimate cushy job with nice comfy office with air conditioning. Plus it's probably the safest place in the city! [from crime that is...] There're 3 security doors I've to get through to get in!

Australia day means a lot to me because we've been through so much to be able to celebrate this day. This country, with its freedom, respect for mankind, its Christian values and its beauty is so precious that it's definitely worth celebrating. Here're some pics from today.

Ever since getting bitten by the "green" bug, i've wanted to grow something! Living in this tiny room with no balcony or garden, this is my only way to grow something. Cress in a plastic food box.
